Coach Ryan began rowing at Chattanooga Junior Rowing (CJR) in 2004, serving as team captain his senior year. He continued rowing at UT Knoxville where he completed his BS in Environmental Science while serving as Club President his Junior and Senior years. He is a past Concept 2 World Record holder in the 20-29 year old age category for cumulative meters erged in a 24-hours, and has Guinness Book World Records as part of the first catamaran to row an ocean, and the first crew of 16 to row an ocean.
Ryan has been coaching since 2008 with middle-high school rowers at both CJR and Atomic in Oak Ridge, Masters at Atomic, Lookout Rowing Club, and the All-American Rowing camp. Coach Ryan joined the UTC family in 2017 following two years as an Assistant Coach at Stetson University in DeLand, FL. 
Certifications include; US Rowing Level III Coaching Certificate, US Rowing Associate Referee Licence, American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, and Swiftwater Rescue Technician


Assistant Coach

Coach Pam began rowing in high school with the Atomic Juniors in Oak Ridge, TN. She completed an undergrad degree in Exercise Science at UTC where she also worked in Campus Recreation as a Lifeguard, Safety & Risk Management Lead, and Outdoor Trip Leader before serving as the department's Marketing and Communications lead. She is now in the Physical Therapy graduate program and when not on the water she enjoys other outdoor pursuits and fosters dogs for the humane society.
